SCO Education is giving five secondary school classes the opportunity to work with Rowena Smith, music critic for The Herald and The Guardian newspapers, to learn about the skills needed for writing about music.
 |
Each class meets Rowena, discusses the concert they're going to attend, and then comes to hear the SCO in one of the new CL@SIX concerts. All the pupils will write reviews of the concert and some will appear on the SCO website. In addition to the performance of the music the pupils will need to think about context, venue and the new format for these concerts.
Reviews from Gracemount High School are now online. To find out what they thought about the concert click here.
Reviews from Biggar High School are now online. To find out what they thought about 'Invitation to the Dance' click here
Reviews from Liberton High School are now online. To find out what they thought about 'The Four Seasons' click here
On Tuesday 15 January we welcome pupils from Beeslack Community High School. A selection of their reviews will be posted on our Everyone's A Critic page shortly after the concert
