In order to celebrate
the complete restoration of the fabulous Usher Hall organ, SCO
Education commissioned Edward Harper to write a new choral work
for a massed choir of school children and adults, the full Scottish
Chamber Orchestra and the Usher Hall organ itself.
Six musicians from the SCO worked with the Tolbooth Sound Orchestra, composer Peter Nelson and internationally acclaimed cellist, Frances Marie-Uitti. The combined ensemble experimented with new ways of making music and performed the results on 26th October at the Tolbooth.
