Music Projects have been designed by SCO musicians working alongside
leading composers and music educators to create projects especially
for school groups. Sessions are interactive, curriculum-linked,
and most of all, fun!

Guaranteed
to have children singing in the playground, this project uses
the classic children's story as the inspiration for a magical
journey to find the bear through a series of mini musical adventures.
With a song specially composed by leading British composer Alec
Roth, and plenty of opportunities to make music, Bear Hunt!
is a project for primary children.
Created
in consultation with teachers and music specialists Bear Hunt!
is devised for children in the first few years of primary school. For
more details of the project, download
the Bear Hunt! information sheet here.
Since
its creation in 2003, SCO Education's Bear Hunt! project
has travelled far and wide. Lis Dooner, Ruth Ellis and
Alison Green have visited schools throughout Scotland, from
Sanday to Kirkcudbright. an adapted version of the project
has also enthralled very small children at Craigmillar Library
and the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
There
has been no shortage in sightings of bears in Scotland and the
talented trio are in hot demand from schools - the next Bear
Hunt! may take place somewhere near you! We're not scared!
This
project is available for schools throughout Scotland, please
